Maybe im misunderdraning you. The Rens mixer is the direct opposite of an analog console, or any console ever made in the history of the universe for that matter. Put it like this : WHen the band have finished one song you dont have to franticcally reset and RE-eq, set up all the sends etc for the next song. But this what the Ren forces you to do because the Rens seqeunces are attached to its own mixer settings which is a stupendously stupid idea. It should of course have a global mixer unnatached from the seqeuncer
The design implemented in the Ren is from the MPC 60 which was designed for for basic midi volume changes - which nobody used anyway. But that is what Akai modled and implemented in the Ren for their far more advanced sequencer/arranger, VST host sampling workstation.
Yes.. What i meant to say was having the theory of keeping things organised from the start like using a analog console means that your sequences in song mode when exported will be fine... They "designers of the mpcs" are assuming when you make sequences your not gonna have your pgms change tracks through each sequence when stringing together a song..
However the ren works more like a recallable scene digital mixer if your using song mode for a live a set.. Where each seq is a full song.. In which case it works better as it recalls the mix for each seq. Where you can balance each seq quite easily in main mode, so that as a complete set each song(seq) can transition better into each other.
