Yes it is. And coincidently, many of the features in these polls I created over the past year ended up as part of the Ren/Studio's MPC Software feature set.

At least 95% (being conservative) of your feature requests haven't made it into the Ren. Probably more.

Glad akai opened their ears to beat makers of this forum and took it direction based on feedback of users instead of obsessive compulsive gear collectors. That's what will ultimately start selling the product and bring trust back amongst beat makers as potential future customers. Good job fellas keep banging away and improve the product

No audio tracks? Really? Damn I feel sorry for the people who have been waiting for Akai to finish up the bugs before working on real features.

You've rolled out that same link at least 20 times since you rejoined this site with a different name. I can see your moment of "boredom" makes you very proud.

We've already had the same discussion (too many times ) about how sampling workstations have been tethered to computers since the Fairlight in 1979. The concept isn't new or revolutionary, so now might be a good time to stop painting yourself as some kind of MPC guru. You're just an OCD list maker with too much time on your hands.

I would like to also see scrolling using the Qlinks or even data wheel if possible.

Navigating around the software using the controller does make sense especially when there's software and controller involved

NI was not the originator of the idea. The MPD designed for products like Battery...approx 6 yrs before Maschine.

MPC 4000 and Aksys....similar in concept...many years before NIs product.

APC controller + Live...same concept...released around the same time as Maschine.

And still.....I was describing what the Ren should be 3 yrs before it was released.

You were describing what an MPC 5000 "unplugged" should be AFTER Maschine had been announced but before it was on sale.

The thread you keep posting as your 'eureka moment' clearly shows the timeframe of this.

MPC 5000 "Unplugged = MPC Renaissance. Look at it again....they are identical although I initially wanted Ethernet.

What NI released is irrelevant. You certainly wasn't talking about how original my idea was back then. You stayed glued to that thread.

Not sure the point you are making here. iPhone/iPad/Android with Beatmaker 2 would wipe the floor with any hardware MPC past, present, or near future in terms of power and features at less than half the cost of an MPC. Pair it with a decent midi controller and you're set. Only real advantage of the hardware MPC at this point is the feel.

You can. The mouse pointer has to be near the bottom of the track (close to the track name).
