Kinda off topic but related.

I hope the 4k display isn't trying to go the route of the 2k.
Have you noticed the new trend in used 4000s on eBay with lots of lines in the display?
Some may have 1 or 2 but others have so many lines you can barely see the display.
Wonder what the factor is creating the lines.

Even Armen has one listed like that and you would think he would repair that prior to listing.

Worse part is that the people listing them aren't really discounting the price because of the display.

I have been fortunate enough to not have to deal with lines in the 4k display or the on on the DM24 which has a similar failure with displays.

Would hate to see those lines one day when you power up the 4k

I got a couple of lines moving around the screen for the last year but there moving and not there all the time!!!!!Not too worried. But am also interested in what causes it.I think the fatal 2k lines are stuck in one place and just get worse.
4k forum quotable right there.

BTW-just a lil fact ive come to terms with concerning sampling into the 4k.EQ the top end.The samples/sampling sound very dull unless the mids and tops are tweeked.Of course you can use a mixer ect on the way in but Ive been using the digital built in eq and its really very powerful(while sampling and to eq the samples once inside too). Its like they knew this and developed and added this as a tool for shaping to combat the nuetral sound.Takes a bit of getting used to(the eq settings) but has tranformed my 4k.It was starting to get pressure from my other boxes(in the high end) but is back up there.Plus its more flexible than the rest by a large margin. That high end is very important to me.I like a bit of shizzle/shimmer im my samples

edit-plus that tape echo is sweet............

agree ; that's why i assigned 2 parameters for the EQ filter section default/standard in a program to the Q-link controllers
