For those that don't like digging through posts

For $149 with 13% off so $130...

With mpc software and ability to load VSts and such, I may buy one for my 10 yr old. He will be 11 on Halloween and likes messing with my MPC 5k and Roaland keyboard, so who knows lol

Where exactly are they talking about iPad?

It's the mpc fly pads case that you connect to your PC and let you use MPC Software.

Not for me but i think expanding the MPC Software user base benefits to Ren/Studio users.

InspectahEX wrote:Mpc Element with Mpc Essentials software? So it's like a stripped down controller with a stripped down version of the software?

I am getting a little worried about Akai's priorities and where they are directing their development resources. Can we get more focus on the Ren/Studio?

All the specifics are not out there yet. The questions are:
1. What features of the MPC Software was left out of the Essentials?
2. Are the products compatible?
3. How many Essentials VSTs can be inserted into your DAW?
4. Does the Essentials software have any features that are not currently in 1.4?
5. Can the MPC Ren/Studio controllers work with the Essentials software?

I think so. I didn't ask for beta access to that project so I've never seen the software, but from the name it certainly sounds stripped down.

Will reserve judgement until I see more of it. This sounds promising though:

hmmmm.... When all the new MPCs were announce I was most interested in the FLY because I was traveling a lot at that point. I'm interested to find out more about this. No sign of the other "elements" that my man discovered in the Patent DB. I'd expect more cryptic marketing for those soon enough.

So the Element would be a good come up for iPad beatmakers and cats that travel if you can do two things
1. Use the essentials projects with MPC Software (ren/studio)
2. Use as an universal controller with something like Beatmaker 2
