Have you forgotten who are the pioneers of beat making? It is AKAI MPC, without them there is no us. Without them there is no "super-producer" in any genre of electronically induced music.

Not a bad piece. but not for me. I think the Element finds itself , in my eyes, in a similar situation as the iPad did when it first hit the market. Its not an iphone and its not a laptop... folks needed to figure out where it fit into their lives. Now we know.
The element is not really the studio/ren but not the fly or even an mpd. So for me I'm not sure its the thing for me. But I can see a lot of cats copping it because it creates a new entry point for none mpc users similar to the way protools express or logic express or the like has done.
