Loop time starting at 001.01, how to change it back to 0.0??

I made a loop and the first kick and sample is not playing i noticed that the time is 001.01, should be 001.00 but how can i change it back? the play start button dont play the whole beat from the start

Help me it happens every time i power on the mpc its very annoying

If so that is normal and your problem is elsewhere.

A little more info wouldn't go amiss.
Are you using the MPC standalone, or do you have it midi synced to another piece of equipment?

jepp sounds to me also like a shifting issue.

Im using it standalone yeah, no midi connection. i need to check out the time shifting. when i load a program with sounds etc and delete them then sample my own and make a pattern it works fine, the first kick and sample at start play is working nice

Is it shifting notes early ?

Have you actually recorded events into the MPC sequencer to trigger the kick and sample at 001.01.00?

Check for events/locations in step edit.

Maybe when recording the sequence, your kick and sample events are right at the end of the sequence, rather than right at the beginning, so it is not triggering them when the sequence is first played, only when it loops?

It may be possible, ill check it out when i get home, it sounds exactly like that. but is the triggering saving when i turn off the mpc? because it happens every time i turn it on, anyway i will look on it a little closer, thanks

Im not sure if youve figured it out yet but heres what i think your problem is..you have the timing correct set to step ahead or step after so as your recording ..when you hit the first kick the mpc is shifting the kick to seps before the 1 ...thats why your not hearing it.

Im not sure if i explained that right but try this:

Pres timing correct
at the shift timing line change setting to "later" and shift amount to 0 percent.

Go to main screen press "count in"

Record what you want..use a kick or sharp snare.

Your sound should now hit on the "1" or first point.


The clock setting 001.01.00 is correct. Your shift timing is just off.

When locating that kick event in Step Edit mode, does it play when you select it to?
