The Ren/Studio controllers can control the Essentials software.

WEll I hope to cop the software only... i wonder if this(software only) is available to previous ren/studio owners .

IF 1.5 update has midi controller mode im sold... As it will work with my live setup..

Atm i figured out how to use iac driver and use ren as a proper midi controller

You load ren/studio as standalone .. make sure it's using built in audio interface as out put and input...

Make sure iac driver is setup in output ports...

Start your daw..

Set it up so iac driver are inputs in midi devices

Set audio interface as ren . (if your on studio this doesn't matter i guess)

On the ren you basically just use midi tracks.. And set each track to what ever midi channel you need. Then just match it in the daw using the iac driver...

Because iac driver can create multiple ports you can get quite expansive with midi controll...

I expect/hope this control from the ren by default.(dont have to use iac driver) on a pad level.(pgm can a sample on a01. pad a02 can be assinged to midi output. Also pad can have midi notes assigned for input for external control)
..

Jah, with the pad bank button, do you have to continue to press it to jump from a,b,c,d.... and then go all the way around again, or is there a faster way? maybe holding the track up/down in conjunction with pad bank?

Sorry, I don't know. I have only seen the software and not the hardware.

Edit - Look closer at the pick. You press/hold down [Pad bank] button and strike a Pad 1-8.
