It's 32 velocity sensitive pads with polyphonic aftertouch. Most keyboard controllers except CME and Ensoniq are only offering monophonic aftertouch. The Ableton push only has 16 velocity sensitive pads the other 48 pads are just on and off. There are a lot more scale modes built in the presets versus the push.

This controller is hand assembled in Austin Texas, not China. Each unit is tested and verified by their employees. They are even shipped with the handwritten tags to show the testing done.

For live 8 and 9 they have presets that allow step sequencing and split playing. This means you can play the first 16 pads as an MPC. Then you can play the other 16 in scale mode and give your instruments more emotional play with the polyphonic aftertouch.

I believe they have a reason 7 preset with split playing too. Once I pay my bills and do Christmas shopping, I am caving in and getting one.

I guess this is somewhat related. I'm not sure if this was already a bundle but it seems Sweetwater has Reason 7 bundled with Propellerhead's Balance interface for $399. I'm not really a Reason user but maybe this will interest some of you guys. I saw the bundle at Sweetwater, by the way.
