From my experiences though chopping samples in Daws hasn't worked out for me, I'm still using Adobe audition to chop and battery to play the chops

The MPC Software chopping and program creation needs very little improvement.

 cmon pete do your homework that's blatant misinformation..

MPC60/3000:

• 99 sequences may be held in memory at once. Each sequence contains 99 individual tracks, each of which can be output to any one or two MIDI channels.
• 4 independent MIDI output ports permit 64 simultaneous MIDI output channels.

glad i wasnt the only one who caught that..... :-D

an "honest" mistake, or uninformed and inexperienced about/with exactly what they are working towards EMULATING?!?!??! :? :hmmm:

yea, sorry, I didn't have my facts straight yesterday. I was thinking program and wrote track

ok, let's get back on ONE track (sorry, couldn't resist  )

if you're used to mixing with virtual outs, essentials might not be for you, we have Ren or Studio for that.

But you are marketing DAW users, with what you say is functional software...conducive to the workflow of a DAW user. If you aren't letting the plugin hit the mixer tracks how it should...then you actually aren't reaching out to DAW users. Every softsampler on the market worth it's weight in salt is multitimbral....every single one. Except Essentials.

Essentials is also multitimbral, and you can mix each track separately in your DAW (where each instance gets treated separately, which I actually like better than most VIs I know where you have to deal with assigning virtual outs to separate aux tracks).

What about if your playing multiple sounds at once, triggering your drums, snares and hats at the same time like a finger drummer. Are all those sounds going to be in one channel in the mixer, that's why I was saying it would be cool if each pad could get routed to each channel in your DAW's mixer.. other then that the only option would be to record one sound at a time when you are programming your drum loops.. so track 1 will have drums, track 2 snare etc..

right, I hear you that it would be nice to be able to route your pads to different outputs, but as a compromise you can mix them from within the essentials software (in the program mixer). This should give you a lot of options to mix them.

It's multitimbral in a very roundabout, workaround way.

You are actually marketing a workaround. That's just silly, IMO.

Most DAW's will let your assign all the virtual outs, provided the plugin allows, in one click.

But I think users would prefer to mix in their Daw..
I want Akai to get this rite, because allot of people use their maschine with their Daws for this exact reason, which is an overkill because machine has it's own decent tools within the software you can use

AND Ren/Studio.

Pete, don't want to add gas to the fire but while you're here, I'd like to just straight up ask you whether or not multi-timbrality is planned for the Ren/ Studio?

I figured what better way to put an end to most bitching and speculation than to get the answer straight from the horse's mouth. If you're bound by contract to secrecy and the answer isn't "no", then can you give me at least a semi-vague answer peruant to hope?

Thanks for all that you do Pete.
