Folks here take MPCs for granted. Guess what Maschine users over at the NI Forum want in Maschine while complaining they haven't received an update in a year and no communication from NI:
1. Song Mode
2. Full MIDI capabilities
3. Mute Automation
4. Dedicated Mixer page
5. Linear Sequencer w/tracks
6. Sample layers per pad
7. Round robin and random sample triggering
8. 24 bit recording
9. Swing on note repeat
10. Access 3rd party plugin presets from controller
11. Sample Editing - insert/remove slices by clicking on waveform

All of these features possible in the MPC Software....

My point? Folks are never satisfied.....

That is quite interesting... U definitely can't make everyoe happy, regardless what you do. That's why I said, make it stable, then build it and they will come.

Jah, when controlling the essentials plug with the ren/studio, does the screen on the ren update to reflect each instance as soon as that instance is selected?

You can select instances from the controller as easy as selecting tracks on any MPC. The screen updates accordingly.

So, if the guys at sonicfiber have them in stock... and the software is a DL then are we just waiting for 1.5 to be finished for them to put them on the shelves?

That sounds like a logical assumption.....

I like that top 10 list, I don't own a Renaissance, but I think the option of using the software without the controller is good.

You would need a serial key license to have access to it though, because rite now you can download the software for free on their website, but it won't open unless you have the controller installed on your computer. Would probably be easy to hack unless they make a dongle for the software like Reason or Cubase

Never satisfied, there's never been complete MPC, all MPC's suffer from either build issues or OS issuess mostly both

I am not sure as I have never heard of this issue. Add it to the bug report thread.

You know FLux over at the Maschine Forums at NI. He did this video about the FLY.

That was all pre-release beta stuff so it may be much ado about nothing.

JAH wrote:Put it this way.....pump your breaks and wait to see what the Element/Essentials and the next MPC Software update is before you speculate any further.

Almost every update there has been surprises. This one is no different...and even more so as I read forum feedback and they type of features and workflow improvements many here want (users/non users alike).

So do I get my universal mixer?

Spill the beans and I might - but very unlikely, in fact zero chance of me doing that follow suit with info on the next....

I have never used the Fly or Element controllers so I can't comment...and also can't comment when specific functions will be added to MPC Software updates. I do know that the most requested forum features (MPC Forums and NI Forums) are being considered.
