OK, I unboxed my Studio late last night along with a new laptop I scooped up on my way home last night so I will update my specs....

Studio 1.4 (No crashes yet, even closing the app) Just giving it a test drive so far
Dell icore 7, Win8, 8GB ram
No usb/firewire audio interface yet but ordered a small USB recording mixer after reading up on several. Will see how that works out when it arrives

8gb.. Upgraded with Ram city ram... Much cheaper than apple brand..
Thinking of putting a ssd in her.. Get the disk streaming quicker..

Ran through the set again to day a couple of times...

Had two channels extra ..(two dynamic mics) With live comp plugins on each..(just as a test to have that fat in ya face rap sound)

Not a hiccup at all...
Pretty impressed with the ren audio interface driver.. It's stability is pretty good compared to the rme uc...
Now my only issue is separation of physical out puts... stereo pair and stereo assignable outs is limiting... :( As i cant have....

stereo mix out (2 physical channels) foh
Mic 1 out (1) foh
Mic 2 out (1) foh
Mic send effect stereo Out (2) foh
iem 1 out (1) mon send
iem 2 out (1) mon send

I'm considering purchasing a either rme ucx or ufx.. for this purpose..

After the weekend show im gonna try and use automated sends for the mics... HAve doublers/reverbs and delays automate when the hook parts come in...

Nice... Glad to see several with only 'minor issues', or none at all

Can your system use 2 audio interfaces at the same time?

The MPC Software supports up to 8 Stereo Outputs...the same specification as the virtual outputs. Connect a USB, Firewire, Thundbolt, etc audio interface to your computer and you can route audio to these 8 Stereo outs (or 16 mono outs if you use panning). You audio device must be selected in the MPC Software's Audio Preferences.

Ren V1.4

MacPro2,1, (late 2007) 8-core 3.0ghz, 8gb ram, OS X 10.6.8

Using the Undo button can often lead to losing entire projects. Other than that
pretty stable.

I'm on a i7 16gb, and have 0 latency issues, just the software thats a issue with registered legit plugins.

I was like you, and thought "hey it wont crash for me like that". By day 3 I was part of the crash club. And don't go crazy with the undo button on the studio during in a session unless you want it to...crash.

NEVERMIND! The Ren crashed on me 4 times in the past 2 days with no 3rd party plug-ins and ive been gettin this loud static/noise in sample record mode.Only way to get rid of it is to reinstall the drivers. This shit is gettin on my nerves!!!!!!!!! Im happy i still have my 1000 to fall back on.This started happening with 1.4,not with previous versions.Anyone else dealing with the noise/static issue?

Yes.. As you can choose what sound card to use .. Mpc ren soundcard or Any other soundcard you have installed/own inside the software

I tried to do a aggregated device but the ren card wont allow it.. :( can anyone else do this?

So we just did the set.. No probs at all.. Smooth as silk....

But this was minus the two mics routing through the ren...

I found a old 1u rack unit to sit under the mpc ren on a double x keyboard stand..

Got a handy app called insomniax that allows me to close the lid without mac going to sleep, so i could slide the laptop into the 1urack under the mpcren... Nice neat and not have to worry about laptop being on some flimsy stand or weird spot off to the side... looks like a "standalone" mpc .. hahah Most of all i felt quite safe knowing the laptop was safe rather than hidden. now i just need to make a slide tray so if i need to see something i can slide the lappy out and wolah!!!

MPC Renaissance 1.4
i5 Quad Core 750
16gb Ram
Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit

I have no real issues just some plugins like Kontakt 5 may cause some crashing and I am unable to use Motu BPM and UVI workstation (both current versions)since it wont scan them into the system which is frustrating. I've reported the BPM/UVI issue but I have yet been given a solution. I really do love my Ren though :-D .
