Hi,

please help me with a big problem.
I have a synth that listens on Midi Channel 1 connected to my MPK. I can play it with my MPK (set to Channel 1). I have another Midi Controller sending on Channel 1. If I connect the Synth directly to the other controller, it works. But if I connect the Synth to my MPK and the MPK to the other controller, I cannot play the Synth with the other controller (only with the MPK).

Cables go from other Controller out to MPK in and from MPK out to Synth in.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I misunderstand something or is my MPK just broken ?!

Please help!!!

Go to global settings on your mpk and see if there is a midi thru option. Also you might need your synth to listen on two channels and set your other controller to send on a second channel. other controller sends midi to mpk on ch 2, mpk set to midi thru and sends on midi ch 1. synth listens on midi ch 1and2.

Unfortunately, there is no Midi Thru setting. Not even in the global settings...
