Connect the axiom to your computer then go to preferences in the MPC software....MIDI section, select your keyboard. :)

As stated you can use the TRS 1/8 to midi cables that came with your Studio or you can connect it directly to usb port on ur system. Start or restart the MPC software and when u go to EDIT > Preferences > MIDI... your keyboard should show up there.

Either way, when you press keys, they will trigger inside the 'software'

I tried plugin the midi cords from my midi keyboard into the trs 1/8 midi cables
but when I load up a plugin and play notes on the keys there is no sound

Does that keyboard have usb? If so, plug it directly into the comupter. close and open the software and go to EDIT > Preferences > MIDI... your keyboard should show up there...

EDIT... either way its connected, its actually connected to the PC so U should be able to trigger other apps that receive midi data, in case you have other sounds U want to trigger with midi
Now to hear 'sounds', it will only trigger sounds on the pads, be it samples or keygroup sounds, VSTs, etc...
