Hi There,

Using an MPC2500 with JJOS3 V1.07. I loaded up some 808 samples. On the short kick samples, they pop at the very end. I tried to fade them out. It seemed to work while on the trim page, but when I went back to main, it was still there. I realized that the popping noise will remain at the end of a sample no matter how short I cut it.

Also, when I load up a program, about half of the time, the samples playback distorted. If I power down and back on again they play fine.

Has anyone ever run into these problems?

Ive ran into that "popping" or "clicking" sound on my 4000 a couple times. Usually adjusting the decay or the attack time helps, sometimes what Ive done is ZOOM in all the way and I usually am able to find out the wave thats making the "popping" sound. Idk if its the same scenario for your issue but it doesn't hurt to try. Not sure why it does that though, maybe the medium is recorded to loud to begin with and distorts when a certain transient hits. Thats my guess

IIRC, there is (still?) a bug in OS3 that causes weird distortion in the samples. A workaround is/was to go to the input through menu and cycle input from analog to digital and back. Should eliminate the distortion. Apologies if this is old info and no longer applicable.
