newbie in need of help.. finding saved samples MPC 1000

hello ive just got an mpc 1000 and currently have the free JJOS 3.16 installed.

Ive been messing around with it over the last 2 days and so far from watching you tube tutorials i have worked out how to record samples and assign these samples to pads straight after recording them into the machine.. and thats about it

now Im stuck and my problem is when I go to search for samples I have recorded I can not find them? I can search through the samples that come with the mpc but none that i have recorded and named myself show up.

I record the sample then name the sample, select "keep" when prompted and assign to pad but whenever I try to search for them on the internal hard drive I can not see them listed.

I have the internal hard drive upgraded to 128mb and do have some CF cards but have not yet bothered to use them.

i would be very grateful if somebody could please help me resolve this issue

Ain't trying to be rude, just stating the obvious.. you need to forget about internet for 1 day, and spend that on RTFM, at least basic functions and operation. 128mb is RAM, not saving space. You need to save on CF or HD.

Lamp just gave a quick description of why RAM alone won't get the job done.

No question is a stupid question, but some questions make others ponder "I'd call this person too lazy to read, except for the fact it takes more effort to type some questions here, then read the multiple responses, then to turn to page 9 of the quickstart guide, where it says:
Saving the data
The data and audio that you input into the MPC1000 will be deleted when you turn off the unit, unless you save it. If you wish to keep the data, proceed as described in the “Save / Load” section (page 89) or the “Connecting the MPC1000 to your
computer” (page 98) of the Operator's Manual.

I used to enjoy getting anything new and sitting in front of ut while going thru the manual, even my cell phones, to this day. Did it with my Galaxy Note2...

I think the way he was rude! thats it.. nobody is gonna convince me otherwise thats how it came across to me

no biggie anyway I dont care and there was actually some sound advice in amongst the rudeness but why even say Im not being rude if you arent about to be rude? lol he obviously thought that it could be taken as him being rude if not why even say it?

anyway Ive been reading the manual and have learned how to save (whoooop) and got what I think are some decent samples off my 10p charity shop records.. next step is to actually make something out of them lol.

lazy? probably.. but then if somebody who knows f*ck all about something I know a lot about asks me a question Im gonna just give them the answer.. be polite and not not give them a hard time for not doing the research before asking.. you know why> cuz Im not a DICK!!
