Using the software without the controller is major. It is no longer the world's largest 'dongle'.

I believe you must still unlock the software with a controller. But once unlocked, you can use it without the controller. Of course installing it on multiple computers uses up your available authorizations.

Thanks for the video glad to finally have some info on 1.5.
I wonder how customizable midi controller mode is ? Will we be able to use things like note repeat and 16 levels in midi controller mode in logic pro x?

From what I have seen thus far, most (perhaps not all) of the 1.4 issues identified in the bug report thread have been addressed.

Midi mode and unlocked software is pretty epic... I'm already going through in my head what that means for me with the live sets and beat making.... I can stay in midi mode and run everything from that (reaper and ren) With custom actions All from the controller.. Navigating and editing and sequencing reaper from the controller but still access the sounds from the Ren. Then switch back to ren mode to sample in or just shape the samples in ren.. I wonder what other sample chopping features have been looked at?Specifically hardware screen based?
I wonder how far you can go with midi controller mode.. Can 1st pad be set to midi channel 1 note 35 on output port 1 then pad 2 be set to midi channel 3 cc value 111 on output port 2... ?
