Guess I'll start this off with my findings!

So far, I found that when in chop mode of sample edit, after auditioning pad 16, then moving to the next bank, the light for pad 16 stays lit. Pressing the pad turns the light off!

Running 10.8.5 in Region chop mode!

1. Did a re scan for new vst's now a few vsts that was fine in 1.4 is not fine in 1.5.
a. Kontakt
b. XBass 4000
c. Tube-Tech PE 1C
d. LoopSlicer_Win32
e. wobbleBOSS
f. TAL-BassLine-101
g. Motu BPM
h. Probably way more if the ones that show up in the box in red are being skipped I don't know what is what with this.
i. I'm glad that the vst's that were scanned in 1.4 are still good or I'd be $h!t out of luck with a full re scan.

They all crash the app on scan for new vst's. Should I do a full rescan and risk losing more?

2. The new vst scan is slower and when it says skipping... it freezes instead.

Using 32bit MPC because that what most of my vst's are.

Wish the 64bit could use the 32bit vsts maybe I wouldn't have these issues. Just a guess though. :(

Still getting the double note hit at the beginning of track when I'm exporting a track. I used the MPC Ren ASIO and my soundcard ASIO. I tried as .mp3

The "1" and "2" shortcuts to toggle "draw" and "select" mode still doesn't work on my azerty keyboard. It works if I switch to a qwerty layout.

The problem is there since 1.0, I hope it will get fixed one day…

This is a small thing, but it drives me nuts to reach those small buttons with the mouse all the time. I tried a lot of things and the only workaround I found is to temporary change the input source when I press the fn key in the MPC prog (with KeyRemap4MacBook), so I can use fn + 1 and fn + 2. Dirty hack, but if anyone is interested, just ask.

Not sure if this is an OSX issue or an MPC issue, but the MPC app does not stay assigned to the desktop I assign it to. It just opens up on whatever desktop I'm currently viewing when opening the app. None of my other apps have this problem!

I have a workaround for this as it kept happening to me.

1.) Set cursor to the beginning of the second sequence in song mode
2.) Export as usual

The stuttered beginning should be eliminated. Let me know if this works for you.

Loading a sample on a used pad completely removes the old sound from the project! However, the old sample still remains in the samples folder on the hard drive even though it's no longer in your project!

Before the update, if i had latency or static when playing a beat, I could just cycle the power on the hardware and I would get the (hardware could not be found/software will produce silence) pop up windows but everything would reconnect, go back to normal and play perfectly. Now in 1.5, when I cycle the power on the hardware with the software still open, I get a blank LCD screen and both the software and hardware become unresponsive.

I can mouse click the mode buttons at the top of the software from main mode on down to midi mode and the screen changes to each mode (the LCD on the hardware comes back on and shows each mode as well). I can even add notes by mouse clicking but the hardware and the functions that correspond to the hardware are unresponsive. Transport, pads and banks, q-links unresponsive to mouse clicks in software. :hmmm:

Ok, so I go into preferences (because I use Soundflower/Soundflowerbed to sample internal audio) and change my input back to MPC Renaissance and I get a pop up that says something like "The sample rate could not be changed" and then my MPC Renaissance input and output selections disappear from the MPC software audio preferences Input/Output. :WTF:

After doing this, the software and hardware became functional once again but playing audio thru the "Built-in Output". While computer volume control (F10Mute,F11VolDown and F12VolUp) do not function.

I can still select the MPC as an output and input for computer audio in system preferences>sound and it still is a selection in Soundflowerbed but it has disappeared from the MPC software audio preferences.

Upon close and restart of the MPC software, I got a pop up box saying my audio preferences have changed. Go into audio preferences and assign Input/output back to MPC Renaissance and everything is normal.

Cycled the power once again with input/output set to MPC Renaissance to see if it became unresponsive because I had different Input/Output assigned other than MPC Renaissance and same issue, hardware unresponsive. :Sigh:

im using the REN with the firmware version 1.10....software 1.5

PC
Windows 7 64 Bit
i7
12 GB RAM

running 32 Bit MPC Software....

1) LCD Screen goes all crazy looking in sample edit mode...words over lap each other.

2) Sample edit mode not working correctly when chopping and discarding left over sample in the program... Doesn't discard

3) When double clicking on the sample in the project information area the program hangs.

4) Patch Phrase doesn't work right in the program.

5) When chopping it shows slice word on the pads in the program instead of loop... play all... ect.

bottom line the whole sample edit is messed up!

6) Anything played with the Wub, The Bank, The noise and the 809 in side a seq. play right on load up and next time it comes back to the first bar they play back quiet and you can barely hear them.

Thanks. I'll try that when I get home. I've currently been adding a blank bar in front that another user said he does.
