Just saw the video on NI's YT and the amount of info available on those screens is a game changer. You getting your money's worth with that piece while The ren looks uninspiring compared to the maschine S.

The fact that's this is up to 13 pages at this time on an akai based site says a lot. Me, I love my vintage gear and was willing to give the ren a try but I could never find one to demo. I did demo a maschine mk2 and LOVED IT! A few days ago I did a survey from NI where they asked about current features and what I would like to see in the future. Seems like they are listening. I won't be buying the studio right now but I will upgrade my software. I'm excited about the release.

To akai........if I were you, I would raid NI of there development team and beg Roger Linn to sign on to it. Then, I'd get timbaland and Dre to do some promo videos. It's going to cost big money, but in the long term, you'll get it back and then some. Just a thought.

Linn really has no room to talk in this regard, especially considering he almost made a Beat Thang of his own.

Which product are you referring to?

I sure he's referring to the cat from BKE mentioning he consulted with Roger Linn on the Beat Thang in its early stages.

Duh! Are we supposed to believe that story, even? Plus, we know that Linn has nothing to do with BT thing.

Man, I've heard stories of cats selling all their vintage gear to buy the Ren and only to regret and be disappointed.

Yea...I probably wont...definitely not the EPS16 at least. I'm just waiting to see what the final.word is on the AI coming with Maschine...so this way I can sell my interface.

N.I rite now is on fire with their products..
The Ren was never in my budget, but I said if I had a grand I would hold on to it untill Maschine 2.0 drops.. and they dropped in style

I know what I am purchasing..
most of the people who got a Ren was probably during the hype.. around the time it was just released, it has died down now, it's good.. but 3years behind.

N.I is like the skinny/fitted jeans era.. Akai still wearing baggy jeans with timberlan boots lol
