OS2.0 upgrade's a must. Can't wait to see how it works and looks on MK1 hardware. Probably at some point will get the new controller as well. Looks awesome!

Posted on the other thread the new maschine 2.0 is nuts. It looks like the way it should be done. A definite purchase.

Well you have to remember Akai was heavily driven by internet forum conversation and went with the MPC3000 is the greatest thing ever made mentality.

They wanted buyers to feel it looked and sounded like the 3k so that's where the product landed.

No so sure they see the value in that right now?

Same here. I wouldn't be too happy about having to go back to a standard interface if I couldn't get decent performance from the Onyx. If it worked well it'd be perfect.

OT but, how do you like the Onyx? I've been looking into one to replace my old, but trusty, 1604 VLZ Pro. I was thinking either the Onyx or a dedicated MTR. I really hate the computer for music.
