If you own the MPC Renaissance or Studio already and therefor have access to the full MPC Software, can you use the MPC Element hardware with the full MPC Software instead of the MPC Element soft ?

Yeah i believe that is what they are claiming... And its funny and screwed up because if you buy the element you get all 4 of the sound packs Wub noise 809 and the bank and studio users get only the bank and the 809..crazy world..lol

Nah, he says it comes with 3 new sample banks of sounds, at about 1GB, so it is not true.

In the browser list you can see Elements of Dystopia, Elements of House, Elements of UK Dance.

I am guessing that is the 3 sample banks that ship with the Element/Essentials, not the 4 expansion packs that shipped with the Renaissance.

it's kind of an effing shame that you can run multiple instances of the MPC Element software in your daw while you still cannot use more than one instance of the full MPC Software...

MPC Elements users don't even need multicore support when they're in a DAW since it's hosted by a multicore host...

They need to solve the prob for Ren/Studio owners...

The GUI is horrific. :Sigh:

hey man.. for me as long as it doesn't look like fxpansion guru, im ok with it.. I think Guru has the worst looking GUI, essentials looks slightly better then Ableton

but anyway.. I like the video actually, I think it's great integration for DAW users. Question I had before was I wondered if you could route individual pads to a channel in the mixer.. but I guess the way you do it is record each sound on different instances

or you could make a drum loop using drum, snare, hats.. then duplicate 2 more instances of that same drum loops, and delete the extra sounds... hmmm

he needed to show more of the chopping features though, can you add your own markers.. can you pitch samples?

It looks like an unfinished mockup…an unfinished mockup done completely in the wrong primary colors they teach you in primary school. To be fair, maybe it was designed by a talented child, instead of an inebriated, color blind adult. :WTF:

Truthfully, I stopped watching it when the guy started to harp about how nothing else on the market offers comparable sample layering features as this juniored software and then went on to show a primitive method of just piling up samples. :Sigh:

At least the Ren users who don't want the Studio will now be able to get this as a relatively inexpensive portable controller—I'm assuming it works with the full MPC Software—because the software looks worthless.
