For real! They should definitely make this happen in 1.6.

This is the best update for me this far.
All projects load great and very fast,
the standalone function of the software works perfect.

Great Job, Akai.!

peace :smoker:

Apparently, if you listen to Jah, the forum has spoken, and a global mixer is not a top priority, he claims that Audio tracks, multicore, and non-destructive chopping, are higher priorities than global mixer amongst MPC Software users, so we shouldn't expect it soon.

That is the problem with having someone so biased collecting feature requests to submit to Akai on behalf of the forum.

to me audio tracks isnt even important , the mpc dont work very well as a plugin so they need to make it more for production and mixing down .. they should at least do a mixer settings copy and channel strip copy and past that would save alot of time .. in my opinion anyway

Update was a great suprise... And I agree: it just feels solid now and I put it through the ringer last night. Impressive... Really nice work Akai! :smoker:

Now all I want for Xmas is clock out on all four MIDI ports... It's murder having four physical ports and clock only going out on two. That new NI controller has three Midi ports... Come on Akai... Don't let NI beat the inventers of the Midi Production Center to the punch with x3 ports of Midi clock!

Undo/Redo have often led to me losing entire projects.

So far so good, have not lost a session yet...knock on wood.

I've been going undo/redo crazy over the last 30 minutes and I didn't run into anything unexpected.

Aside from needing a global mixer, IMO the software is crippled in plugin mode. Needs way more integration to be use useful for full compositions. But I know I'm sounding like a broken record. It needs more virtual outputs to be useful, and just don't understand why this thing can only be used once in a DAW - why can't I run multiple instances? Why that limitation? Just don't get that one. It's my DAW, I bought the software, let me use as many darn instances as I want... :-)

I came from hardware and got the Studio a couple weeks ago. (I didn't feel I had to have the audio interface when my USB mixer does the job and allows more inputs, and works with all my audio software. Plus I love the portability. I toss laptop in backpack slot, toss Studio in middle backpack slot, jump on the Busa and roll out.

Anyway, I must say it took me a while to come around but once I did, (fortunately during 1.4 with less people complaining) I wondered why I didn't sooner.

Sold my fully loaded 5k last week and I don't miss it.
