I triggered that using the 1200 cause it did do what I wanted to do!

Now that I have 2000 xl I like this machine don't know it as good as my baby but I like the way it brighted up my 1200 disks I have like 500 for the 1200 and still wish I had one to go sise by side with the 2000 xl.

Any way I hated my MPC 60 so much I gave it to Doug King or John Bido lol

adjust your EQ before sampling,sample at 45 rpm or even 78, pitch down. This works for me.

The cheapest way is to buy an Emax ..the first one(SE or HD ..doesn't matter) I got mine for $100 on ebay. Even has that nice ring that the SP has. You can buy an sp-12 to sample with and simply dump it into the mpc, but the emax is cheaper. May not sound EXACTLY like an sp-1200, but no one could tell the difference.. it pretty damn close tho.

thats cool its sorta like my little sp202 boss conncetion,this little machine samples stereo,standard,lo-fi 1,and lo fi 2,then i dump'em into the sp like blam......

Act like? Downsample a Wav-file to 12Bit, Resample back with the computer and use it in the MPC.

Emax is a good tip, but a SE HD is good, so hold out for one if you can. You can add SCSI to those easily and have a zip drive to store samples.

the Emax knocks very close to the sp, it even has a BS sequencer, or as they call it scratchpad.

Good sound but what sucks is if you have too much of the sample time used you can't do any of the funky tricks it has.

Can anyone explain how they are using it with the keyboard, as it sounds as if they are triggering sounds from the keyboard, Im presuming this is a way to use sounds that are more than 2 seconds, but still get the sp1200 punchy sound through the midi sync (but correct me if Im wrong)
