Looks interesting, Might make me dip my toes back into the Maschine world.

Although I will wait to see what the hardware works in the hands of real users. It looks all good in the shiny NI videos they make (and are really good at) - but in the early Hebrew vid that was posted early in this thread it looks like the graphics on the mixer page show some lag for the closed High Hat channel shown in the right hand screen, I hope the screens are responsive and update they way they are supposed to, without lagging.

Pure speculation here by the way, no real clue what is happening in that page - but it looked a wee bit 'wrong' - but I am wary of NI and Maschine after the pretty terrible bug that plagued the MK1 unit in MIDI mode with Ableton on a Mac - took them, what, around 2-3 years to fix? :?

Ultimately looks great - but will wait for the early adopters / fan boys to Beta test it on release before (or not) taking the plunge.

Seems like a pretty sensible approach. 8)

It is ironic considering they're not exactly bowled over on the Maschine forum.

That's because here at the MPC forum everyone is used to failure...
Bad OS's, bugs, gear that breaks, etc.

The NI fan boys have higher expectations because NI has done nothing but bring great products to the scene.

Wait, it still looks like that? I thought they changed that up? The mixer screen on even the most basic hardware MPC looks better than that...

I'm not even so mad at the specs but that layout is terrible. My MPC experience goes back to the MPC 3000 (and damn near every MPC after that) and when I saw that mixer screen (when I had the Ren for a few disappointing days) I was shocked at how terrible the hardware screens looked. The MPC 3000 mixer looks infinitely better than that. The MPC 4000's hardware GUI puts the Ren's hardware GUI to complete shame.

lmao.....akai :Sigh: thank you JJ(os)..Not gonna lie, the Ren, mpc Studio were never an option for me bcuz of my mpc1000 experiences with akai. There were no innovative moves to enhance the OS (hell no moves to even make it useable), the self admitted faulty pads I had to pay for...It looks the same for their new software....Maschines software is light years ahead...whens the last time they finished an OS? Ive read where the 4000's OS was not finished, the 1000/2500 OS is laughable...I cant put any faith in akai. They better call Roger Linn

Wow, when does this thing drop? Def Selling my Ren most likely now. I wish this was coming out last year instead of this stupid Ren. I would of waited for the Maschine Studio if I knew that shit was going to be SICKKK like that. This is what the Ren should of been, AKAI WOW you are such a failure, I'm done with you guys, mpcs are just too far nehind and not progressing enough. if the new maschine works at all the way they say it does it's over for Ren, Akai, I'm done with it, mpcs are obviously becoming obsolete and the investment in a Ren was ridiuclous seeing this new maschine SMH :Sigh: :Sigh: :Sigh: :Sigh: :Sigh: :Sigh: Getting rid of this Ren as soon as that Maschine Drops

I dont think I will ever buy an Akai product again, probably will be posting on the maschine forum soon lol that all Im saying about this, for now its beats on the Ren till I get that MS... cant wait just knowing NI's development team is on another echelon then Akai's. I knew NI was working on something top secret, it's about time.
