Samples block each other

Hi friends, i hope i can explain my problem to you, my english isn't very good

i started making a beat setting the drums. track1 ---> kick and snare

track2 ---> hi hat



kick and snare sound normal until i recorded the hi hats to track2. some kicks were cut off in the middle. most of the snares did sound like a very short "tock". i asked google and i found an answer, to set the program to poly.it worked

then i chopped a sample into 32 parts in a new program. i recorded the first track over my 8 bars of drums, no problem,sounds okay. but when i mute this track to record another one it seems the pads i hit are blocking each other.i record something,it sounds like crap and the first sample track does too til i delete one of both tracks.
tried the same tip, set the 2nd program to poly but it doesn't work.

did this happen to anyone here? it did always work but now it doesnt. after experiencing this problem i updated software and firmware...didn't work. guys, please help i'm losing my mind

When you create a chopped program, the program is set to monophonic playback. To change this, go to PROG EDIT, change program play to POLY. You'll also find that each pad is assigned to the same mute group, so select ALL samples in the computer, and set the mute group for all pads to OFF.
