Random symbols in load screen??

revising beats all day & I noticed random characters or symbols in the load screen earlier but moved on hoping it was a 1 time occurrence, as I loaded several beats throughout the day it happened more frequently & just now after calling it a night it's happening to every folder I try to load.. Could it be over worked? A problem w the cf card? I've had several save/load issues since I started using mpcs as I have always been bad with the technical stuff & been more into just sampling & creating, finally upgraded to the 2500 & since I'm still struggling, I had to create an account here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't remember now exactly, as I'm using JJOS 7 years (on 1000 but it's basically same machine and OS).. but if this is happening on Akai stock OS.. I recall files being corrupted or couldn't load or save a file like: create new folder > folder exists!! another name.. same thing. If you really want to work flawlessly, get yourself free JJOS, or shell out on at least JJOS 1.. to get most of the machine. Money is not a dealbreaker? go JJOS2XL. I'm not advertising on the product.. it's just friendly advice.

remember to format the cf card with the OS you're using.

Thanks guys, could it b my card is full? When I scroll thru folders the names keep changing to symbols & not loading.. Thanks again tho

I think you can check that in load mode of MPC or connect thru USB to computer and see. Anyway, if they are not loading seems like corrupted files
You can try to move them to PC, format the card with MPC and move them back, but honestly I bet they are lost forever. If that's the case, download free JJOS, load it to the unit, format your card within MPC (not in computer) ..and forget about loosing data from now on.

i had this problem too...the issue was that the filenames were TOO LONG...i ended up renaming the files under 16 characters and it fixed it...hope that helps
