From Fruity to MPC 2000 ? How comfortable can this be ?

First of all I have to say that i really dont need to see the notes i play in FL.
What FL makes so nice to me is that you can run Wavelab in the background can cut your samples on the fly while your rhythm is already being played back in Fruity. But the more often I use it I feel quite bored cause all you do is sit there and there i really no movement at all
I have heard of that MPD thing but as 2000s go for real cheap at ebay i was wondering if I should try my luck. But its still that much money:(
I was on Cubase VST before Fruity and I really hated it.... besides that NI
Kontakt is quite a nice sampler
So you tell me : Is sample editing easy to do on da 2000?
I dont talk about loops at all i rather work with short sounds out of various
tracks that i put toether to a new melody and i really wonder if this can be
done in the same easy way as on my PC.

Yes, sample editing is easy on the MPC, but it is even easier on a big computer screen. It is also easy to get samples from your computer into the MPC.

However, I reckon you should try out an MPC before you buy one to see if you like the sequencing method, which is probably more important than the sampling side of it.
