My favorite drum breaks. Since getting the pack i have used them a lot.

dont use em a whole lot for most of the hiphop stuff i been making, but when it comes to jamming with musicians, these are my go to breaks to chop and quickly program so we can get in and jam.

I have volume 2 here right now. Still waiting on the distributor to confirm official release date for me.

is it the same kit on every break?, from the DL demo they all sound the same just different patterns. That's not very interesting to me, I'd rather have a variety of sound. I've bought lots of the kits and packs here and my favorite yet is the breaks and bass pack, the creativity and flexibility of those is impressive.

Yes, it's basically the same kit although there are different snare tunings and dampings etc. The entire pack is basically a complete live Timmy Rickard session featuring different drum breaks and patterns played on his favourite kit.

They tend to record these packs in a single recording session - basically it can take 2-3 hours just to set up a drum kit with mics, so it's just not possible to keep swapping out the kits, not without skyrocketing the costs of the pack.

i have a question for you guys that are using breaks a lot, ive never bought a break pack, or used breaks much because i find that i like to lay my sample first then add the drums later. usually if i add a break, even if its the same tempo, i find that it rarely fits my sample.

so my question is, are you guys just looping these and adding your samples or compositions over them? or are you chopping them up? from what i can recall from the demo beats es-k made with these, they seem like they might be kind of hard to chop and still sound good. i say this because they seem to have a lot of ride cymbals and stuff that are constantly playing throughout.

the breaks sound great, but i like to use one hits better myself. although i would like to start using them more, could someone post up some stuff you have made with them so i could check it out?

i would like to listen to what you guys are doing with these loops. i have only made 1 beat where i thought the looped break sounded good under it, but it was def a break with not that many cymbals or hats.
