Yes, I would like to hear some comparisons.

Not sure how you would go about setting up the test though, what samples to use, what to record it into, how to distribute the recording in high enough quality format to be able to hear the differences, etc.

it is what it is.... these guys just had to attempt to piggy back on the "legendary" vintage reputations and NEEDED that aspect to be relevant to the market in spite of their own personally merited reputation./

you dont see a "5000 mode" on the front panel and pitched as a strong point.... :popcorn:

You always have the option to buy an MPC Ren and an MPC 3000 and compare them yourself. My best guess is that it will be the first time you heard either product.

Excellent, should be a good comparison then, and we will be able to hear them both for the first time.

Need to come up with a procedure to compare them with.

why don't you just find some sine's or saw wavs that are used for testing acoustics, record each through the MPC's in question and compare the output wavs to what went in?

this site has been useful in the past for testing speakers, maybe you can use it for the comparison.

Clearly various people were not happy with the way he went about it, so I think it's fair that he'd be unwilling to do it all over again. So if any interested parties wish to organise something between themselves and then post the results in their own dedicated topic after they've made their recordings, then please feel free to do so.

In the meantime, this topic can stay active only if people are able to continue contributing discussions that have not already been covered to death in the other dozen or so, active, Vintage Mode/Ren output topics.
