MPC 2000XL with Screen Lines Easy Fix (NOT POSSIBLE!) - Onli

A lot of people on eBay lately I've noticed have MPC 2000XL's listed saying the screens have lines, and that it's an easy fix. Some say a 30 dollar fix, others saying a 15 dollar fix.

I've seen this on eBay, Amazon and MPC Hunter.

I know a lot of people come to this forum before they have bought an MPC so hopefully they read this first and realize, whoever says it's a 30 dollar fix, or even an easy fix, is lying or being misleading.

Just something for those new heads to look out for. It is absolutely not true. Easy fix maybe, in terms of replacing the screen, but being so hard to find, maybe costing as much as their unit when they bought it.

I felt like it needed to be mentioned.

Hopefully when people search "MPC 2000XL Screen Lines Easy Fix" Google will pull these posts. Big up for posting that. It's important kids don't get fooled. I'm a kid who got fooled before, because of this. Since I had not seen that said, till recently helping other kids look. People know it's not an easy fix. Just trying to get money.

might be helpful for people if ther would be info direcct on ebay. Either by a review of the MPC2000 or an empty auction titled MPC2000 MPC2000XL. Auctiontext could be info about the display and how hard/epensive it is to get.
People who are intersted in a 2000 would stumble over it.

Definitively not cheap fix, easy yes, just replace the display for a good one, but find a good one will cost you extra $200-$250...

I always see this pseudo "MPC masters" on ebay claiming there is absolutely nothing wrong with lines on display, also a couple dead pads and the most common thing is fader doesn't work but you will not need it, people saying that most probably don't know how easy the slider will make their life when it is in good working condition.
