Thanks mpcstuff, not only was shipping prompt, the package is really neatly packed and you HAVE outdone yourself by sticking the contact sheet down / assembling the majority of it, makes life so much easier.

Keep doing that good thing. im sure people do this a bit but, in this day and age i wanted to show some love, good service does still exist

mike is a great guy. prices are fair - if they seem high its because its rare tech. nobody is gouging over there.

Good and bad.

They sell great stuff.

But, I bought a few "factory" service manuals, which when arrived turned out to be simply A4/letter sized printouts of the PDFs that are already available online, some very poorly scanned and with fine details/text unreadable, as they are.

Specifically asked if they were original factory printed manuals before I purchased them, was assured they were.

Claimed afterwards that he had no idea that factory printed service manuals actually existed, complained about how one of his staff had to spend time resizing all the pages to the "correct" size.

Bought a fair amount of stuff, they didn't want to do anything about the manuals, which was pretty f'ing lame.

I did note in your previous emails you said factory printed manuals, I guess I just took that as factory. printed. manuals. In other words the factory manuals in print version.

One of our techs spent hours a year or so ago getting those manuals in proper format so they could be print versions. Usually the PDFs are all crazy sizes and formats.

As for the MPC2000XL I told you "2000XL (just small schematics)"

As you have said its just a misunderstanding. You thought you were getting something different and I never thought you expected anything different than what we shipped. Unfortunately what you were hoping for doesnt exist.

I dont want you to feel "shafted" but at the same time I don't know what difference it would have made if these were printed at Akais factory.

The difference, at least for the MPC3000 service manual, if printed at Akai's factory...

Personally I'm more impressed with what happens when something goes wrong with your order.

We all know sometimes things happen but that's when Mike shines because he's quick to communicate and resolve things.

And that 's not to say he has a lot of things go wrong but it sure is nice to know if something happens he's really responsive.

Point of this thread was more to thank mpc stuff for their work, but you can whinge if you like haha
