Is it possible to move tracks around once they've been assigned and recorded? This seems like a basic function yet I can't figure out how...

The whole track situation on how u can gain quick access to them at it current state is very dated and a headache we just have to just deal with...

copy the track to de wanted track number and delete the original, then copy the one you wanted to the empty track you just left and so on.
Is not as fast as dragging the tracks around but it is not very time consuming either.
Anyway I'm on the update it to 2015 team too.

Yeah, this is how I have been doing it also. There was a post floating around that gave methods of doing it from the software but I had no luck.

Yes, it can be done, but it is difficult. You need to be punctual.
