s950 output

hi guys

on my s950, the volume knob doesn't seem to make much of a change, increasing the volume any longer from i would say 7.5 to 10. where 0 to 10 is a full rotation

what do you think about this? i feel the output of the s950 is rather low as well. much lower than mpc 3000. but my main question is does your volume knob do the same on your sampler.

any of you noticed the same?

My 950 doesn't change much too. I can't hear a difference but the meter in my DAW show that there is a increase of 0,5 dB from 3 o'clock to full open (5 o'clock) which is not much.

I also often heard that the 950 output is low. IMO it always depends on what you compare it to. Compared to my FZ1 the 950 is louder. But then my MPC2000 is louder than the 950 if I don't use the loudness parameter in the 950 (I usually use this) I also sample hot most of the time.

I think your 950 is ok

yeah it's a little quieter for sure, I don't even use the volume knobs, 8outs>--8 mixer channels. the texture is well worth it.
