I would do it, it has been updated pretty good,
Only the new driver seems to have a problem on mostly mac users,

You might be able to pick it up cheaper at the Guitar Center. I spoke to one of the employees there in pro audio and he told me that in their system it is priced at $799, now GC is having a sale 15% off this week so that should take an extra $120 off.

That's a damn good deal man!

I definitely wouldn't be buying one off eBay now with all deals the true dealers have.

I see multiple units in that range and lower. (I mention in price drop thread of someone that won bid for $660 just before the price drop.)

Yes on their website it says $999"Please but I called in to see if they would match the $799 price that everyone has seen on the internet and he said "let me check" and then he came back a little surprised and told me that their system is showing it for $799. I don't know if this is a temporary price for GC but that is exactly what the guy told me.

Edit: I guess I shouldn't be so surprised. I went and bought a studio a few days ago. The guy tried to tell me the Studio was $599 and I asked him to double check because new MSRP is $399. So he does his thing for a few minutes and comes back and says, "Yeah we can sell it to you for $399." So I hand him my 15% off code and he says, "No way...I can't discount it any further. The system won't let me." So I tell him I'll order from the web and just pick it up at their hollywood store. So he reluctantly scans the coupon and it works.

So based on what you're saying someone who wants a Ren really should try that coupon because it worked for me, and if it discounts it down to about $650 that's a pretty good price.

Yes, Brand New Rens and Studio below 700 and 350, respectively, and after using the 15% is definitely a good price. I wish I had gotten such a deal on my Studio, just last month...



Either way, I'll just get off today, fire it up, and go thru the Komplete Elements I decided to buy last night (Yes, my 1st step to Komplete 9) one day.... Wish these deals of price drops right after I got mine, but can't win them all. Pushing forward and keeping it moving

Larry. I brought the Ren from the same spot. It came with a 9v charger be careful! I had a 12v 2a charger so I lucked out. I was getting the blue flashing screen of death on it b4 I checked all possible causes. It was the wrong adapter. I am going to see if the place will get me a regular akai power supply. All 4 the world WAR424.
