Need help with live performance on the Mpc 2500 se

Just got myself a mpc 2500 se & I want to learn how to use the mpc for live performances like araabmuzik does.
Someone knows how set the mpc up for that?

Set up a program for every beat containing all the sounds for that beat assigned to the first 16 pads of every program. Make longer one shot loops for basslines, melodies and other stuff. That way you only have to trigger those after each 2 or 4 bars, so you can play your drums live along with the melody and bass.

Thnx for your answer! I Will try it out.. Btw in the vids i saw, it looked like they looped the sample the whole time..? Is that true or did they triggered that 2 or 4 bar sample like you said?

Could be both. I don't know. Shouldn't really make that much of a difference. Once you can fingerdrum like that it shouldn't be so hard to use an extra finger to trigger that loop.

Inderdaad

Aarabs style is geen rocket science hoe hij zijn mpc programmeert. Het 'lastige' van zijn style is dat hij gewoon ziek goed kan drummen.

Maar op een MPC is het toch anders..
