Sesac????

I know that Secac is Somewhat new Compare to The Other 2 Big Guys (BMI and ASCAP) But What's The benefit of Publishing with over the other 2
guys. Keep in mind I'm dealing with a Sampled Base artist (as many of you are).

Im a sesac member they collect my money for me and disperse it to me...

I decided to go with a smaller based publishing company because I feel they have a lil more hands on with thier clients... I can call them and they return calls, answer my questions and offer advice when u have a rep thats just for you, rather than speaking to someone different everytime.

My boy was with BMI and he switched to ascap then sesac...

hes happy now.. they tend to him better than the rest of them ... so he says...

as long as i collect them checks... I'm good..

I've Also (Heard) that Sesac is More personal and takes more interest in the Artist and Song material

Quite a few people I know who were with BMI and ASCAP switched to Sesac and they are happier than with the other two.

The professor of my "Copyrights of the Music Industry" class is a music lawyer... We were discussing this the other day... He said if you're dealing with a smaller artist SESAC is probably the best bet because they are much more hands on like ASCAP and BMI used to be when they first started... I mean if you have a whole departmetn at a big label just to deal with all the publishing rights and everything, then by all means you could go with an ASCAP or BMI, but SESAC is up and coming so they are much more hungry and willing to deal with the artists on a more personal level...
