thank you! I'll definitely check it out when I get it tomorrow, so is this a grey market item? Did it come with an authentic manual, registration card etc?

I just wrote them and told them I'm going to received it tomorrow and I expect the correct charger to be in the box, and if it isn't in the box. I'd ask for them to send the correct one to me. It's not a cheap part $39.95 + shipping:

I'm a stickler and will want the ORIGINAL charger, not some cheap replacement... argh...

thanks again for the heads up!

I don't have the money for an MPC Ren, but I think now is a good time to buy.. but at the same time I have a feeling next year around this time there will be 2.0 with a brand new controller, so sometimes it's good to not have the cash

All was sealed and original from the look of packaging. Just the charger was some really cheap piece of crap. All registration was legit. They are very close to me here in Brooklyn NYC so it is easy customer service.

Just got mine yesterday, came with the right adapter and I confirmed asavings aka Focus Camera LLC in NY is indeed an authorized Akai Dealer!. I just finished updating the software and firmware... So far so good, though now I do need to order longer xlr to 1/4" cables! LOL
