It's generally not a good idea to be chucking your cash at every piece of gear that makes you deer-eyed anyway though. That being said, it's probably also best if you stay away from that Satellite then. Those 14-day demos will become the bane of your existence.

I'm just perusing but not specifically set on the Microbrute myself. Regardless, I'm always interested to read/hear what others think of gear or their perspectives on things I may have looked over, albeit nothing particular in this case. I'll look forward to the review.

The last video you posted is the best one I've seen of the Microbrute so far. Hopefully they will go bigger for their next synth. A three or four octave full-size keyboard with two of those oscillators and extended mod matrix would be nice. A poly would also be nice.

The Microbute is a lot of synth for the money. I think I'm personally leaning toward the Bass Station 2 myself, but the Microbrute's price has me thinking I'll get one at some point.

if theyd make something with 4 or 6 voices in the same compact format, imo that'd be the real winner (full size and more octaves drive up the cost too much i think)

Good point. I think a DSI Tetra+ cheap MIDI knob controller is the only thing that really could get you that under $1000 though.

yeah, but look at dsi's rough equivalents to the brutes, those are more expensive

Due to the extra keys as you mentioned. I think 37 is the minimum on theirs. That's why I mentioned a potential desktop Tetra+knob controller, use whatever 37-88 keyboard you likely already have.

In any case it's dope that Arturia, Korg and Novation have listened to people's wants for affordable analog.

Again I feel your point Anton, you would think somebody would take a stab at a 25 key compact poly synth at between $500- $1000USD.

I hope they do rack versions of these new mono analogues, not just Arturia, all the companies doing them, and some rack polys as well.

Would be sweet if the new Arturia and Novation synths lead to Korg doing something analogue from a more modern perspective than the MS-20 Mini, then Roland get in on it, and we also see some larger analogue drum machines from them as well.
