I think it would be helpful if the Qlinks could would have an option to be used as an alternate scroll wheel.

I barely ever use the qlinks because you have to select a function, then when you change screens they turn off again and/or the function doesn't work in another screen.

Although I'm glad that JJos does let you use the qlinks for start and end points in the sample edit screen, I never use that either because you have to keep turning them on every time I jump out of and back into the edit screen.

What I really wish they could do is just stay on between screen changes and that you could just set them to serve the same function as the scroll wheel.

For instance in the track mixer screen so you could just jump to the track and push it up or down instead of twirling the scroll wheel for 5 seconds to go from 110 to 0 or back.

(And those are a nerve racking 5 seconds IMO. Every click, click, click seems like one click closer to the end of my scroll wheels life span.)

The two sliders could function as large and small increments.

I think other then being helpful with work flow it would help extend the life of the scroll wheel before it begins to falter and eventually needs a solder and replace job.

Anything that will save a little bit of wear on these out of production machines seems like a good idea to me.

Not all but most parameters you can set with Q1 in program mode. In mixer, Q1 is for pan, and q-2 for volume. It does not work on mainscreen or in any other mode, which sometimes could be handy (there are some values which can be only inputed with jog, because numeric key, nor q-link does not work). Yeah, I would like to have more :-D

Really.
I'll have to try that.
(I wonder why I didn't?)

Thanks for the heads up.
