Probably another piece of gear that you need a Masters Degree or severe autism to operate, and all the knobs need to be spun a thousand times before there's any audible difference.
Just speculating.

I had the first Eleltron. I did spend some quality time with it but I never felt comfortable with it. It was a mother **** ball ache at times to do certain things. Its one of those machines that you have to have a purpose or a need to want one, otherwise it gathers dust.

The Sidstation has to be the easiest thing to use ever! Pretty specific sound tho.

Then they went out of their way to find the smoothest knobs imaginable, which are impossible to turn with sweaty fingers. Genius.

All their new units have had very grippy rubberied knobs as standard for the past couple years now. Genius.

i think they're pretty easy to use, tho very different from an mpc.
that is my biggest hold up, when i try to treat it like an mpc.
but the power in there is worth it, and they quickly become second nature and playable like a nice instrument.
