Has anybody had any problems with the MP software recording out of sync when using it in plugin mode in your DAW...And if so how did you work around it

And mind you i'm using a mac book pro quad core 2.3 ghz. with 16 gigs of ram and 500gb of free space. And i'm using the mpc studio in logic pro X.

Yes, same here. Im testing an element at the mo with Logic 9, Macbook pro 8 gigs ram. Its a busy arrange page im working on and no latency when recording in BUT the metronome on the MPC DAW plugin is slightly out with Logic's metronome and the recorded midi in the MPC software is out of time and sync.

I'm not sure this is still true with Logic X, but Logic 9 and earlier used to treat record enabled tracks differently, increasing cpu usage of the instrument on the track and creating latency issues with e.g. Maschine.
As you don't need midi in from Logic, be sure to uncheck record and select another track.
I don't know if it's true for the Ren, as I don't use it as a plugin, but it might be worth checking.
