The Bank plugin

Isn't connected to my pads, it works on it's own but when I press the pads no sound. It stays on one note.

Change the pad banks... to c, d, e, etc.... C1 of the keyboard is not pad 1 on bank A... It's bank C, pad5... Change to bank D and hit pad 1... that is C2 on the keyboard... you should get something from your VST... and see the keyboard in the VST GUI respond. (this is why I bought a lil USB midi controller to play my plugins)

thanks, I think the Keyboard I'm getting a Novation one is a midi controller, but before it comes i'm trying my best to use the MPC on it's own, I want to use the bank.
As I don't have a keyboard what buttons on the hardware/software do I press to assign Pad1 to C, Pad2 to D etc.

Normally I would feel silly if it there was tutorials but I don't see any on this.

I'm going to do a guide for dummies after this, my piano starts in a lower octave and until I scroll up and press a key it doesn't change.

In all honesty, Since I picked up a 'fairly inexpensive' keyboard controller, I never played with changing midi settings/notes for pads. I just know what some of the defaults are cause when I hit certain notes on the keyboard, i see pads on my studio light up

yes at 1st I was like... huh... then figured he was asking how to trigger The Bank VYTs in software from the pads and I know if you only hit pads in bank A or even bank B, you get nothing... Which is what was happening. Still easier with keyboard since you to worry where sharps and flats are on pads...
