Hi
This is my first post.

Today I started using my MPC Renaissance and I'm a little confused now.
I've recorded some MIDI tracks on the MPC, with two external instruments and now I want to record them as audio into the computer.
Is there a good way to do this so all tracks will be in sync or do I have to record them manually into my DAW the old school way?

Also, I tried using the MPC as a plugin in my DAW but then it wouldn't send MIDI so the tracks wouldn't play. Anyone knows why?

Oh, and another thing. The MPC doesn't find my Waves plug-ins. Anyone knows why?

Thanks in advance!

I exported the sequence as a MIDI-file and placed the tracks on the right channels in my DAW.
But I still think it's weird that the MPC won't transmit MIDI in plugin mode unless I set it to MIDI-controller mode in the plugin but then I can't access the sequencer so I can't use the quantization and note repeat which to me is one of the selling points for the MPC.

Which DAW are you using?

Some, like Pro Tools, allow you to route the single 'DAW' MIDI output from the MPC Software plugin to the input of a MIDI track, and set the output of that MIDI track to the external MIDI interface that you want to send MIDI to.

That allows the use of one of the four MPC Software MIDI output ports from within the plugin.

Don't think that it is possible with all DAWs.

This is a major limitation of the software, it seems that users of external MIDI devices are being marketed to, but not supported, with the focus so much on plugins.

I wasnt sure if he was actually using MIDI, or meant VST, driven by MIDI in the software, which is why I said, may be

Solo the track(s) ....select record....change input from external to resample (think it says resample; I am not sitting in front of mine)....arm record and press play. Stop recording when you have the bars tou want...trim...assign to pad. Done
