With Black Friday right around the corner. What are your predictions for the MPC REN price this year ?

Do you see a difference in price online versus in store prices ? ( Guitar center, best buy) ?

Disclaimer : TO ME..my opinion, since without the software its simply a controller. I would WANT to pay about $299.00 - 399.00 for a new Ren just to add it to my mpc collection. (60, 3000, mpd 26 )

I predict that the price on Black Friday will be $499.99 this year.. At that price, they will move volume. But not as much as they'd like as people are still complaining about issues with the software. $399.00 they might just move them all.

what do you all see the price dropping to from its current $999.99 price point.

we shall see my friend ! I have no idea. Just my prediction

$1,399.00 initial price was steep ! for a controller and software $499.00 is fair.

And with the way other electronic items are sold on black friday... I think we all might be shocked.

If they plan to continue to develop the ren. Then Im 100% on board with your price prediction. If they dont plan to continue development... these babies will be dirt cheap. $399.99- 499.99.

But we'll see

It will still be $999.99 at Guitar Center and major retailers....You may be able to get a 15% of coupon or something... I saw the GC ad for Black Friday and they dont have any samplers or Controllers in the ad... I don't see Akai doing another price drop this soon since it dropped it in October... ebay new lowest about 750.00...And to getting it for like 299 or even 499 wont happen unless it is used off of ebay and the person is really really hard up for money.

I just got a new Black Friday GC ad in my inbox and this is what it had in there for the REN and the MPC STUDIO.......

This would be crazy if the price drop for Black Friday is $699.99 for the MPC REN.... I guess good things do come to those who wait.... Depending how you look at it...lol

keep an eye on sweetwater.com musicians friend.com

$399.99 before all this is said and done as predicted ..

 The real event is to see what Akai markets next with the value of the ren dropping so fast....... Better be good. And better give a good deal to pre existing ren owners who bought the ren at original price. imo.

Ill-Green wrote:Well see. Pete and Dan hasn't been imminent lately so you know no vacation time. Ren mk2 by April 2014 I predict with one fat color screen and the return of qlink sliders.

Price for Black Friday will be at least $699!

Your the winner so far. Crazy..

Doesn't say $699... Says $300 off... they talking about $300 off the $1299... $999

Sticking with my $899 black friday deal, with best price being if there is some $100 or 20% off coupon around black friday

I alrdy have my studio so i am not pressed to get the ren unless i can catch one for like 600 (friend of mine won ebay auction for 660 a month ago) and even at 600, audi interface and 'vintage mode' hmmm, still liking my studio and may just stick with that

smart move. Im gonna keep waiting it out. Im not to pressed to buy something with buggy software that might not get an update after the month of december.

If something shocking happens that would justify buying another controller.. then I'll make the move. But at $600. I just cant see it. your right...At this point the studio is the smarter buy.
