Also no one is yet to work out this problem which I'm still having problems with.

When trying multiple random stuff with the key commands it did record but in a loop that deleted itself. Any ideas?

When you wrote that, you hadn't even looked in the manual...you hate reading them, are too pressed for time, and want to be pro in a week. :Sigh:

People might help you, if they could be bothered trying to work out what you are actually asking, it is not the questions that are the problem, it is the incoherence with which they are asked.

Try loading the MPC Software plugin on a Logic instrument track, within Logic, rather than running the standalone MPC Software application outside of Logic.

Also it's not clear what you exactly try to do or what you try to accomplish.

Do you want to 'track out' your beat you have made with the MPC Studio into Logic so you can mix it/ add thing there? If so, the video gives you all the information you need. In the last few minutes it shows you how to export your beat as a wav or mp3 file.

Do you want to use the hardware as a midi controller in Logic and trigger the instruments in Logic?
If so, this should be possible but I also failed to accomplish that. JAH tried to help me out with no avail. (In my case) According to JAH you need to run firmware 1.5 for the HARDWARE. But I was among the group of people who had problems updating the firmware.

If you could explain more clearly what you're trying to do and describe clearly all the steps you did we may be able to actually help you. It's not that we don't want to help you if you look at the previous posts with suggestions and advice. But you need to help us helping you by describing your problem in a better way and try harder looking for a solution yourself.

I want my MPC to act as an midi output on logic, so I build my MPC tracks in logic not on the MPC or MPC software.

There has been signs that it can do it but it fails to record.

My MPC hardware button press play on Logic and I hear sounds but it doesn't record.

I would prefer to do mixing on Logic as it's what I was used to in the past, I want to use the MPC for drums but I want to mix the drums in Logic. I could make an audio file with the MPC and move it over but MPC studio has no vocals so I would prefer to mix it all together in Logic.

karl_beats wrote:Thanks for the reply. Basically I have not created a Wav file on any product that I have bought but I was thinking it would go straight into Logic when I press the pads, my Keyboard won't be delivered until next week maybe that's the problem. When I go into my edit options it says to go to vintage I must install renaissance but I have MPC studio.

:Sigh: :WTF:

RTFM

after the million of variations of Karl Williams unaccepted I must have drawn the short straw.

Listen, 10 years ago I was a keen music producer and I went to a youth club and I used probably the first ever drum machine with I think cubase, after life got in the way and out of the way I have decided to get back into it, silly me for trying to get the latest one going. I'm just trying to set this up how it was in the club but it seems like I have be given obstacles no one else has.

anyway Music starts in the head and is constructed on these machines to me not the other way around. wait for my beats.

Just to go back a bit, I've been through a lot of tutorials, my Edit >preferences > other was exactly the same as the renaissance in the beginning but every second an MPC update kept popping up all the time so I updated it, then the Edit>preferences>other changed now it's got less options and says if I want to go to vintage mode plug in a renaissance, anyone know of a way I can cancel the MPC update or make it believe it's a renaissance.

Why do you want to 'cancel the MPC update' or 'make it believe it's a renaissance'?

If you want to 'cancel the update', uninstall whatever MPC Software you have installed, and install and older version.

If you want to make it believe it is a Renaissance, sell your Studio, and buy a Renaissance!

Otherwise, just ignore the vintage mode message, read the manual, and use the **** thing, this shit is stupid! :WTF: :Sigh:

Are you sure you were not looking at the preferences in the MPC Software plugin previously, and are not looking in the standalone MPC Software application preferences now?

If you want to go back to the original version, uninstall the updated version, reinstall the original version.

But that is nothing to do with vintage mode or making it think your Studio is a Renaissance. :hmmm:

STOP PRESS IT'S WORKING.

I went to the website and updated it again and it records automatically. Man oh Man that was tough, it's time to make music it seems and it's time to ask you lot some real difficult questions.
