mpc1000: Recording multiple Midi channels at once from a seq

I have a bunch of songs sequenced on Cubase 2 for an old Atari 1040st. I want to record the midi from the Atari into the MPC1000. Is there a way to set up the MPC to record all 16 of the channels from the Atari onto separate tracks at one time? so then they can be sent out again on different midi channels?

I don't think you can with the Akai OS.

You might need the Multi Timbre option found in some of the JJOS versions...
