**** yeah. I really enjoyed that. Never seen it before. It's very interesting to see how they sampled all those different records and made them fit. Well impressed!

Menco wrote:Yeah man. Also the way Liam edited those samples back in 96-97. Some of them are far beyond recognition. I always thought it was all synths and sound modules.

Then you will like this one as well:
EDIT: Tutor, do you maybe know what his setup was around making Fat of the Land?
There's not much info about that available online. All I heard is that he used the TB303
a few times.

The Fat of the Land was the frst release he used cubase (mac) as sequencer. Before that he used the W30 sequencer.
To sequence on the w30 you have to be a special kind of breed IMO
I once had one but didn't liked the sequncer much. I sold it but I kind of regret it cause the reason why I sold it was a whining display inverter. I should have think twice and get more into this machine (had it just for 2 months or so and never really used it much)
peace

xibalba1875 wrote:holy fking **** that is on some next level sampling. how do you even begin to sit in a studio and say "you know what im going to use X sample this way, X sample that way etc etc and making a track"
also, say if the prodigy never disclosed those samples how the hell do you even figure that out.
it's always baffled me especially for example the track "Number Song" by DJ Shadow, the sample from the metallica song Orion, how in the world did someone listening to that just up and say oh **** that's Orion, because if i recall Shadow never disclosed that at all and was pretty miffed when it got exposed.
