Well if you look at this video from the 6 minute to 8 minute mark. He answers all of your questions regarding Araab's affiliation with The Ren and why he didn't look like himself In that marketing campaign and everything.

I was just looking at that video yesterday. I agree, he does seem very uncomfortable using it. Almost as if they told him (the the video says) " the pads aren't that responsive" slow it down buddy

I'd like to see the Araab video... And I wonder if it's just a rumor about the responsiveness of the pads.

I like akai, I wish their success with the new products. I'd like to get a Ren someday too.

All I can say is how I see it. Nobody is interested in the Maschine Studio like Maschine had its popularity. Akai shot themselves in the foot so much that they're crawling to get 1.6 out. MPC Studio has become a clearance sale at Musician Friend.
