Installing new pad sensors

Bout to purchase a new set since I messed up the first time. Anyone have any tips on how I should properly do this thing? Is there a specific tool I can use to help me accurately cut this thing? I saw the video but they used a tool that they made themselves.

All you need is a ruler.

Measure your old pads to make sure the length is correct.

Measure twice, cut once.
