MPC1K cannot sync my MFB-502?

Hi good people,

I have my MFB-502 drum machine connected to the MIDI out of my MPC 1000. I set the MPC as master sending MIDI clock to the MFB. But, the MFB doesn't respond to the MIDI at all.

When I connect it to the MIDI output from my Octatrack or my computer everything works fine, so it seems like there's something the MPC is not sending…

Any ideas about what is missing would be much appreciated!

Make sure the sync out is set to "on" then A,B,C or D (depending on where your midi cable is plugged in) set to "clock"...that should do it .

Check the soft thru setting as well...

Ahaa, I figured it out - it was actually the MIDI input of the MFB that was broken, so it only worked when the MIDI cabe was bending in one direction :p But thanks, for the advice man!
