tracking to daw

yoo, was wondering if anyone knows a way of recording tracks separatated onto a daw with having to go through the tedious task of solo'ing each one individually. Ive already taken advantage of the 8 outs running to my mixer but it only has 2 bus channels. Ive never bothered messing around with midi, is it possible?

an interface with 8 inputs or more that allows multitrack recording will do this.
